Aluminum molds can be used in a microwave oven provided that certain conditions are met:
- Before placing the aluminum mold in the microwave, remove the cover, lid, foil, etc.
- The food should occupy most of the bottom of the tin.
- Place the aluminum mold in the center of the plate in the microwave oven (if your microwave oven has a metal turntable, use a ceramic or glass plate under the aluminum mold).
- The aluminum mold MUST NOT come into contact with the microwave wall - the minimum distance from the microwave walls is 2 cm.
- Only ONE aluminum mold can be placed in the microwave at a time.
The above rules DO NOT APPLY to microwave ovens manufactured after 1983.
